Discovering Your True Purpose In Life Through Coaching

One of the greatest gifts of being a coach for midlife men is the deep connection I form with my clients. 🌟

We are all on our unique journeys. While some have careers, family, and friends that align perfectly with their purpose, more often, that’s not the case. In midlife, we might feel uneasy or question our place, even if we have all the material comforts. It can feel like we’re suddenly thrown off balance. Maybe it’s a sign that we actually aren’t balanced... We are NOT living according to our deepest soul-driven desires.

But since we’re not taught to recognize this, and few understand it (some psychologists and spiritual types aside)... we can’t figure out what’s going on or where to turn.

Midlife coaching gives men the chance to explore their thoughts and feelings. However, it’s not therapy... We use tools and techniques that help unlock possibilities from a deeper place. Most of us know what we’re good at and what brings in money. But those aren’t necessarily the things that light up the soul. And that’s why we end up in the midlife maze... confused and rudderless.

Here are a few options to consider:

  • Do nothing and let your past become your future.
  • Try to figure things out by relying on past experiences, beliefs, and patterns.
  • Work with a coach who introduces new techniques and practices that elevate the journey.

If you’re feeling stuck, grab a notebook and set a timer for 15 minutes to write about it. ✍️ Here are a few questions to ask yourself:

  • How am I feeling?
  • What is keeping me from moving forward?
  • What do I fear?
  • What would my ideal future self look like?
  • Who do I want to become?

When journaling, don’t stop, edit, or reflect. Just write until the timer goes off. Do this every day for the next week and see what you come up with. To get clear, we often just need to get out of our heads. I love hearing about breakthroughs... Let me know how it goes.
